RIVER LANDMARK

RIVER LANDMARK is located in Yangzhou, a culturally renowned city celebrated for its canals and Jiangnan scenery. The design moves away from the overly ceremonial approaches typical of traditional residential landscapes. Instead, it adopts a relaxed resort atmosphere as its guiding principle, creating a natural and artistic landscape vision. The project integrates Yangzhou's canal culture heritage and site-specific characteristics, setting a new direction for next-generation residential landscape design.

The main entrance adopts a "grotto" theme. The signature pergola uses fish-belly gray printed aluminum panels to create a layered, spiral form resembling a water vortex or wind-eroded rock pillar. The metal panels are stacked horizontally, forming a rhythmic vertical texture. Along with a winding waterscape and varied paving patterns, the entrance establishes a "canal forest realm, shimmering forest valley" gateway image, expressing a fluid and relaxed spatial aesthetic.

The sunken courtyard is themed "valley seeking, cascading waterfall." Utilizing the site's elevation differences, the design creates multi-level cascading water features. Water falls from a feature wall, flows through streams, islands, and bridges, and gathers at a landscape platform, forming a dynamic water courtyard. The project implements sponge city principles, enabling natural rainwater regulation and collection. The water courtyard offers visual connections to indoor spaces such as the ground-floor book bar and gym, achieving an integrated landscape-indoor functional space through seamless boundary treatment.

The resort-style clubhouse includes a 300 m² infinity pool. The pool floor is finished with glacier-blue marble-like mosaic, producing a soft water color under natural light. Pergolas and feature walls around the pool use Pandora translucent luxury stone. Combined with lighting and landscape interfaces, the space offers an outdoor social environment that balances a sense of ceremony with privacy.
