A reinvention of natural living scenarios based on the “Fifth-Generation Residence”
Creating an upward-growing “floating island”
Vanke’s “Shi Series” has always originated from addressing the “unfulfilled emotions” of urban life, responding to the changing spirit of each city with a distinct architectural expression. This time, the series arrives in Wuhan for the first time, presenting a new exploration of the “Fifth-Generation Residence” through a “floating island” that symbolizes nature and the future.
As a key collaborative project between Hubei Science Investment and Vanke, Isle Maison is located in the core area of Wuhan Optics Valley Central City. Surrounded by high-tech industries and mature urban amenities, the fast-paced urban environment has intensified people’s desire for a slower, more relaxed natural retreat within the city.
Integrating the eastern and western plots with adjacent parkland, the design establishes a planning framework of “One Core, One Valley, One Loop, One Courtyard.” Connected by a “garden street valley” to a planned 10,000-square-meter park, Isle Maison emerges as a floating island hidden within the bustling city — a tranquil retreat inspired by the concept of the “Optics Valley Floating Isle.”
