Rooted in Ningbo's unique natural landscape and rich cultural heritage, this project takes the culture of traditional academies as its spiritual core to create a multifaceted cultural space that integrates the city's historical context with contemporary lifestyles.

With“Island Melody”as its central design theme, the project uses as the foundation, culture as the soul, and art as its brush to depict a vibrant, living cultural environment. The design draws upon Ningbo's local natural ecology, urban character, and site-specific qualities, transforming regional features into modern spatial expressions. Focusing on users' immersive experiences and emotional connections, it employs design techniques that blend the tangible and the intangible to awaken a deep resonance between people and nature. This creates a diverse reading space that is relaxed, free, and brimming with artistic vitality—a spiritual sanctuary for inner peace and healing amidst the hustle and bustle of the city.

The design selects bamboo as its signature material, distilling the graceful, fluid curves found in nature. With“Flowing Nature”as the core theme, it interweaves ecological textures with cultural connotations, achieving an organic fusion of natural aesthetics, cultural depth, and emotional experience. This creates a highly recognizable, innovative design that establishes a distinct competitive advantage in the market.

The project's overall spatial framework centers on the concept of“Bringing in Nature, Experiencing Nature, and Blending with Nature.”Through the interplay of light and shadow and a layered landscape design, it creates a natural atmosphere characterized by the gentle sway of tree shadows and the dynamic interplay of light and shadow. By breaking down the rigid boundaries of traditional interior spaces, the design creates an immersive natural setting where the tangible and intangible coexist, fully stimulating people's desire to explore the space and offering a multi-sensory immersive experience.
