PROLOGUE JINGUAN

This project honors Chanel’s haute couture ethos in everyday living. By translating the brand’s iconic black-and-white palette, camellia motifs, and exquisite piping into structural elements, premium materials, and lifestyle moments, it creates a home that feels both timeless and distinctly contemporary.

The visual rhythm is guided by the streamlined lines and fluid curves in the walls, dissolving the rigidity of sharp angles to ensure a seamless visual flow and natural spatial transitions. Expansive negative space contrasts with deep black, fostering a sense of minimalist order. A curved sofa, defined by black piping, anchors the living area, harmonizing with the tactile richness of a fur ottoman and a geometric rug. The haute couture philosophy extends beyond visual statements into tactile experiences. The design juxtaposes dark luxury stone, sleek marble, supple leather, and plush fur to cultivate a rich sensory journey. Light and curated art pieces deepen the spatial atmosphere. From delicate geometric pendants to fine art photography and fashion tomes, every detail bridges timeless elegance and modern chic. Natural light dances across the stone and textured walls, capturing the passage of time through shifting shadows. This dynamic interplay turns silent, curated objects into poetic focal points in the space.

The spatial flow guides an emotional progression across the home, transitioning gracefully from the social energy of the living and dining areas to the quiet solitude of the private quarters. While the living and dining rooms provide refined settings for hosting and entertaining, the study and the chess corner serve as intellectual sanctuaries for reading, deep reflection, and inspired conversation. Deepening this sense of privacy, the bedrooms invite an intimate inward retreat. The timeless black-and-white aesthetic continues in the secondary bedroom, complemented by artisanal fringes and plush textiles to evoke an aura of effortless elegance. In a sweet departure from the stark black-and-white order, the girl’s room infuses soft blush pink and cream tones into the couture DNA. By balancing social connectivity with personal, mindful moments within a cohesive design language, the design reimagines the home as a spatial anchor for inner authenticity.
