About The Entry
In an age when learning must compete with screens, short attention spans, and a constant stream of stimuli, classroom design can no longer be neutral background. MIND PARK aims to reframe the learning environment and the design is driven by two complementary ideas: color as cognitive catalyst, and a restructured learning topology that turns student groups into active “command centers.” The result is a space that feels less institutional and more like a creative park for the mind—lively, adaptable, and social.
A Spectrum That Wakes the Mind
At the heart of MIND PARK is a portal spine of deliberate spectrum-based color to signify the arrival, lead to different classrooms. Different hues are used intentionally to influence mood, attention, and cognitive readiness. Warm, energizing tones—activate the brain and promote playful exchange during ideation sessions. Cooler blues and greens create calmer pockets for focused work or reflective tasks. Rather than painting the room one neutral color, the palette is layered and zoned—accent walls, furniture, and textiles mark areas for different activities.
This “dopamine décor” approach harnesses color’s emotional and neurochemical effects to create a joyful learning atmosphere.
Intellectual Sharing Hub - Command Cluster
MIND PARK organizes learners into clusters, each oriented toward its own large display. Every cluster becomes a micro-studio with a visible “command center,” elevating the group’s process and products to the room’s focal point. These cluster arrangement place student work at the center of attention: sketches, slides, and live feeds become the group’s shared visual field, inviting critique, collaboration, and immediate iteration.
Practical design choices support this pedagogical shift. Movable workdesks enable rapid reconfiguration—small huddles, presentation-facing rows, or open forums—so the room can adapt to projects and teaching modes. Integrated bottle holders clear the desktop of clutter, maximizing usable surface area and promoting sustained focus. Each cluster’s large, high-resolution screen becomes a shared canvas for sketching, research, and group presentations, making collaboration tangible and public.
