Shinkotoni Tenburyujin

This is a souvenir package created as part of a branding project for "Shinkotoni Tenburyujin", a team participating in the "YOSAKOI Soran Festival"."YOSAKOI Soran Festival" is a traditional dance contest that is a festival in Hokkaido that attracts more than 2 million spectators.

"Shinkotoni Tenburyujin" is the only team that has achieved four consecutive victories in this tournament. In order to express its tradition, strength and dignity, we designed the imposing royal road symbol.

Each year, the team continues to strive for the grand prize. That's why I expressed the attitude of aiming for the summit by using the motif of the Chinese character "天", which means the sky. Then, the highest point, which is the goal, is represented by the graphic of the sun.

The reason I didn't create the shape of the sun in a perfect circle was to represent the "sunrise". By expressing the rising stage, we expressed the motivation of the team to continue to grow toward the goal. The individuality of the team who is not satisfied with the current situation and wants to be even better is reflected in the design.

This is the same reason why I left the typography of "天" in an unfinished state. It expresses our goal and aspiration to become a better team in the future.

Members and fans of this team will have an even stronger consensus and dream with this design, which expresses the vision and spirit of "Shinkotoni Tenburyujin".
