Across a Hundred Light-year

A few centuries ago, the Han people crossed through the sea, trekking to a beautiful and precious island in the Western Pacific, and met with the long-lived aboriginal people for the first time. Then the Dutch, Portuguese, and Japanese who were thousands of miles away one after another set foot on this southern island, bringing with their unique personalities, creating a special face like a melting pot of Taiwanese culture. Since the discovery of the "Wanshan Shidiao" in prehistoric times in Kaohsiung, the earliest evidence of the existence of local human civilization has been discovered for the first time, from the Netherlands, Kingdom of Tungning, Qing Dynasty, Japanese rule, then after countless changes in the ruling culture, a small fishing village 400 years ago had now become the political and economic center of southern Taiwan that cannot be ignored. 2020 marked the 100th anniversary of Kaohsiung’s official naming. The design team used "light" as a guide to travel through the past and the present, reviewing the history and civilization, and hoped that Kaohsiung's energy stored in the past 100 years could be used. Through the reflection of the concrete mirror ball, it communicated with the world and the universe with a strong light. At the same time, three important display representations of "Mystery Symbol", "Hundred-year Mirror Ball", and "Blessing Ceremony" were used for exhibition and presentation, connecting with the concepts of Contact, Communication, Ceremony, etc. It reviewed the local cultural feelings in a great attempt.
