Hengqin International Transaction Plaza

Being situated within the heart of Hengqin commercial & business district in Zhuhai, China, the Hengqin International Transaction Plaza stands on the pivotol point between Zhuhai & Macao and owes its character to a crystal like form which boost it’s aesthetic from the sea.

The building is a commercial complex consists of a transaction centre, an office tower, an apartment tower and supported shopping mall, occupying approximately 115,000 square meters of total floor area.

The allocation of the programmes within the building is based on a closer look to the structure of the crystal. The 1,200 square meters trading hall is carefully lifted up to the top of the apartment tower to capture the best view of the seashore and also free the podium space in order to organize individual function for best possible circulation. This way the programmes will not unintendedly interfere with each other. This achieves maximum economy in technical matters but also ensures full separation of people flow dynamics.

To maximize the views for different functions, the building was cut specific angles which also avoid visual interference with the building located to the south. The position of the towers was decided to achieve the best views and maximum exposure to the views.

The advantage of having a waterfront space shines through in the public spaces of the building, both on ground level, as well as on the roof gardens and tower gardens by being a continuous connection all the way to the harbour.

There are multiple dimensions to the different public spaces which reflect the quality of high-end financial office buildings. The building will have a 360-degree view of the sea and multiple International Trade Plazas, become the most dazzling crystal of the Hengqin Central Business District. The construction will be finished in 2024.
