The Corridor of light and shadow

This case is located in Hsinchu City, and the designer started to get involved from the stage of pre-sale housing modifications. The original layout of the living room and the master bedroom are facing the boulevard, and the other two bedrooms are facing Jinshanmian Park. Since the owner and his wife wanted to have a wide public space and vision, the designer changed the master bedroom to a guest bedroom facing the park. The partition wall of the original master bedroom was removed and the space is changed to an open study room. The designer connects the living room, dining room and study room to each other, in order to maximize the public space and avoid the oppression of the original three-bedroom layout.

The entrance is paved with pink hexagonal tiles to create a dust area. A mirror is used to hide the distribution box on the wall, and a hook is used to allow the homeowner to put out clothes and accessories. The cabinet next to the TV wall which is used a grille and an oblique angle gently introduces the traffic flow of the entrance into the public space.

The main TV wall of the living room uses white marble. The raised floor which forming a corridor of light and shadow by the window of the living room extends to the study room. The corridor has multiple functions such as brewing tea, resting, stretching, reading, and exercising.

The low wall with artistic coating which is behind the sofa and the beam coverd by mirror defines the study area. The back wall of the study room combines open bookshelves, grille sliding doors and blackboard sliding doors. A small guest room is hidden behind the grille sliding door, and a guest bathroom space is hidden behind the magnetic blackboard sliding door. The main color of the master bedroom is light purple, which is the favorite of the hostess. The grille of the dressing table responds the usual elements of the living room and study room.
