Depachika The Palm

Depachika is a first for the region and is more than just a food hall. The inspiration was derived from the Depachika departments of Japanese department stores. A Depachika is the basement floor of department stores where usually food and groceries are sold. Its name came from the combination of "depa" which is the abbreviation of "department" (store) and "chika" which means "basement" in Japanese. Depachika’s offer is to celebrate ‘the world of food’ and this is clearly reflected in the layout of the offers that encompasses both Western and Eastern aspects, which allows the customer to explore new tastes and flavours.

Tasteful odes to Japan are found throughout the design, through the finishes, and the general look & feel. Penned as a ‘culinary wonderland’, the food hall showcases an expertly curated variety of restaurants, gourmet treats, and even a cooking studio.

Depachika has an ambience that appeals to the masses and a design that reflects the amalgamation of traditional food halls in its iconic nature, interrupted with modern luxury and contemporary thinking, which creates a unique sense of space. The use of luxury materials and finishes is incorporated into uber modern design, creating a place where you can explore and experience the new food trends and embrace all aspects of culture.
