Xiaomen Geology Gallery

Penghu is an island that nurtures marine life and contains rich geological resources. Hence the design team took the stones as inspiration to create this project. Stones have profound energy and soul, in terms of color, hardness, type, eras, and geographical areas, they can show their unique style. Therefore, the design team created a stage for the display of stones and reshaped the local public's perception of the geology gallery. This is the third renovation of this project. The first two Xiaomen Geology Gallery presented mostly informational output, were weak in function and form, and were not as imaginative as they could. This time, the design team has given the space a theme, extending the plan from a stone, and boldly defining the project as a "museum-class" space with six areas. The project is diverse in functions, including images, sculptures, projections, and interactive teaching. In addition to the dinosaurs, the project also reproduces scenes with local characteristics for visitors and local people to experience the innovation of the work. The extraordinary part of the exhibition is that except for the rocks on the rock display wall, the scenery, dinosaurs, and even plants are made by top craftsmen in Taiwan. Finally, with the collaboration of a team of about 100 people, the dinosaur's realistic appearance was perfectly reproduced. This allows visitors to explore knowledge while challenging the team's ability to concretize their imagination of the ancient environment.
