Art of the Mix was a project done to reflect the client’s persona into their apartment. Capturing the owners’ lifestyle through a figurative mosaic of little intricacies that paint an eclectic picture of what would be home to the young couple and son.

The main agenda was to combine their Asian heritage with western touches. With considerations in place for fengshui requirements, whilst indulging in the owners’ insatiable taste for luxury fashion. A delicate Dior scarf is framed by the corridor, flowering graciously from an intimate corridor into a cavernous communal area.

In the Dining area, a pair of Moooi Raimond suspension lamps float above their Poliform dining table, reflecting against a beautiful mirror feature to great effect, while the white marble tops neutralise the warm tones that bleed passionately into the Living area. As the two spaces create a harmonious look, the Living feature wall draws attention. The red feature wallpaper from York Wallcoverings perfectly balances intensity and calmness, also acting to appease the owners’ fengshui needs. A bespoke curved sofa softens any harshness, with pearly-white beadings and gold trims connecting the communal areas elegantly.

Entering the private spaces, we are first met by the guest room. The wallpaper adds a personal touch, mimicking the bamboo forests of Kyoto which left a lasting impression on the owners. Natural elements play an understated role in storytelling. The son’s bedroom takes on a safari theme, infused with playfulness, animal soft toys and a Moschino bear lamp to liven up the room.

A gorgeous bag display greets us as we approach the Master Bedroom, then an enigma takes over. It’s moody but decadent, warm shimmers of light deflect in different directions, dancing through the crystal wall lamps. Reflecting the wardrobe doors that are wrapped in a beautiful wallpaper with cloud motifs.

Meanwhile, the Balcony also takes on a playful concept, filled with bold colours and a monochrome grid patterned rug that holds a set of crystalline Kartell seats. The end result is a perfectly-balanced eclectic home, with a touch of high fashion.
