Overlooking the coast, close to the ocean, on top of the building that houses it, the Alexis flat located in Funchal enjoys a privileged view of the sea and the city. In its interior a large piece of furniture anchors the rooms that are hidden behind it and which can be accessed through a golden corridor that runs through it. At the same time, the screen unit now offers a large open room, where the kitchen is integrated and designed to be part of it. The "Diamond" kitchen was conceived as an exclusive piece of furniture. The heavy curtain that surrounds it allows transforming the space and concealing it in a magical mantle. Here, small details have been treated with delight. The small hidden table sticks out of the wall and at breakfast times takes advantage of the sun and the sea by leaning out of the window. The inconvenient pillar has been transformed into a tree from which spices hang. The mirror in the entrance hall replicates the ambience and enlarges the space. In the dining room, outside the narrow window, a still cat in black sheet metal takes us back to the concept of the old home and defines the welcoming space for pleasant meals. The wide glazed windows open up the horizon to the immensity of the sea, where boats and caravels sail rhythmically, punctuating the room with dynamic paintings. The white furniture in the living room, adorned with golden hollows, makes the space more dynamic and gives it charisma and refinement. At the end of the living room, coloured umbrellas full of light finish the space and send us to the leisure area that coexists with the terrace. Here, the living room with the barbecue welcomes you in a summery atmosphere wrapped in wooden slatted wood and extends to the outside, where a golden poem runs on the walls and the low relief of the sugar cane takes us to one of the island's treasures. On the terrace, the jacuzzi and the hammock inviting you to relax and enjoy the beautiful sunsets.
