COFFEE KOBEE

Coffee Kobee is a two-story café located in Dadaocheng, Taipei. The modern desert style is applied to the overall design, due to the owner’s preference to the desert landscape in Morocco. The exotic design style stands out as a landmark in the ancient and cultural neighborhood of Taipei.
Customers are greeted at the door with elements of the desert, such as deliberately selected potted plants and greening designs . The designer fills the whole picture with natural colors, using wooden furniture, braided decorations, and stone wall panels. Pastel mineral coatings are also used to visually enlarge the space of the café. In terms of the lighting, the designer leverages the feature of lightbars and the effect of indirect lighting to create opposite ambience for the day and the night. The café transforms into a bar for a few drinks, and reappears as a compound cafe during the day for communities.
