Landscape Design of A Rural Homestay in Xupu, Hunan

The project is located in Xupu County, Huaihua City, southwestern Hunan Province. Beidouxi Town has been rated as one of the "Top Ten Characteristic Cultural Tourism Towns in Hunan Province in 2020". ", "High-speed Rail Star Town". The characteristic villages of Huayao are perfectly integrated with the original ecological natural landscape.
Beidouxi Town is an important node in the new positioning of Huaihua's "one pole and two belts" strategy. It is an important node to undertake tourism development in the south (research tourism + cultural leisure)
Relying on the project as a model, build the three major goals of Beidouxi Town's tourism development: leisure tourism destination, distribution service industry chain, and high-end homestay community.
The project has superior folk customs and cultural conditions. Key intangible cultural heritage: Huayao cross flowers, Tantou woodblock New Year pictures, folk songs, Tantou hand-made papermaking skills, Chenhe Mulian Opera, etc.; General intangible cultural heritage: Silkworm Lantern Dance, Xupu Nuo Opera, Chashan Haozi, Oh Drinking Lantern, Huayao wedding customs, etc. Therefore, Huayao ethnic customs and rich intangible cultural heritage resources will become an important pillar for the development of research tourism. At the same time, the design will be applied to the construction of the homestay environment and the planning of activities.
Project positioning: Pro-nature-inheriting intangible cultural heritage, creating a quaint Huayao courtyard.
Using local materials and native plants, combined with the cultural elements of Huayao intangible cultural heritage, to create a research and study tourism destination close to nature.
Concept theme: "intangible cultural heritage" life in the courtyard scene.
Inspiration comes from the life scene of the Huayao ethnic group. Based on the natural resources of the countryside, the mountains and rivers are transformed into the courtyards, and you can walk through them to fully experience the Huayao ethnic traditions, intangible cultural heritage and life styles.
Design highlights:

(2) Ecological foundation: protection and conservation, adapting measures to local conditions, and native plants;
