When Annette Jaffe saw her clients shot glass collection, dating back from their first beer inspiration took hold, she knew she had to use them. The glasses had meaning and memories and that is what makes a home. At first the client fought saying "Please, we're moving on" but when Annette Jaffe Interiors presented the concept for a custom bar cabinet that showcased the collection the plan "toasted to" and set in motion. Measured for the space, the custom lacquered wood bar doubles as a server/console and features the shot glass collection and is LED illuminated and has brass ferrules and matching hardware. Each glass is in a cubby and the collection can be accessed with back panels. The doors and drawers lock with a credit card, to keep teens and others safe, and is truly a versatile piece. The quartz top allows for drinks and spills not to upset anyone. Hit Me With Your Best Shot sits in a the client's living room that has a pool table, wall Scrabble and is key to the playful vibe of the room. Above the bar are framed Jim Bean advertisements the client had saved.
