The space is to serve an aged mother, so the designer considered the various possibilities for the elderly in terms of routes and daily life. In addition, the designer incorporated the owner's favorite wood grain and Japanese Zen style to break away from the traditional form and design a people-oriented space.

Elderly-friendly space.

All doors are replaced with sliding doors in consideration of seniors who may have an unstable balance when opening and closing regular doors. The sliding doors allow seniors to keep their center of gravity horizontal, avoiding the danger of leaning forward.

Different from the standard design.

The designer made the design different from the standard ones, but with comfort and functionality as the core.

On the first floor is a cutting sheet glass wall as the vista, which can be changed with the seasons or festivals and can be associated with the family business. In addition to being a highlight, the glass wall also serves as a welcome wall for guests. As for the second floor, the wood grain and glass are the points, creating privacy and introducing lighting to the private area.
