“Building Rehabilitation” is one of the core businesses of Urban Renewal Authority (hereinafter referred to as the URA). In order to let the public, understand the importance of building restoration, the URA has set up a new resource center in Hung Hom to provide a resource platform and assist in the restoration of properties.

With the concept of "infinity", the designer of this project expresses that building restoration can slow down the aging of the urban area. So that the lifespan, culture, and stories of the old district of Hong Kong can be continued "infinitely".

In terms of design positioning, in addition to balancing the stability of the public sector. It also highlights the URA’s attitude to the public with the courage to seek change and look to the future. Therefore, the overall atmosphere is based on earth tones to cater to different ages visitors. In the 3D design, ORGANIC and streamlined forms are also used to express future-oriented values.

The designer added numerous interactive media to the venue, such as 3D projection technology to bring the URA mascot from virtual to reality and bring out the danger of disrepair through animation stories. Thereby increasing public attention to building restoration issues and knowledge.

Designers also use technologies such as holographic projection and interactive projection to show the public maintenance requirements and restoration procedures of the building. In this project, designers are also exploring the feasibility of adding technology to interior design, such as using robots to guide and explain and also use this to cooperate with the general market trend of "artificial intelligence". Enhance to increase the overall image of URA and also better service levels can be provided.

Designers use every corner of the resource center to set up different service spaces. For example, online inquiries and shared meeting spaces that can be rented allow citizens to enjoy the practicality of the reallocated space.
