CORDMAGIC REVERSAL PEP-TECH

This project is a packaging design for the Reversal Peptide series products of CORDMAGIC, a cosmetics company. The design is full of details created based off product features. With a modern minimalist design approach and a simple, smooth and aesthetic bottle shape, it breaks away from the conventional design style for cosmetic packaging which is characterized by complicated and superfluous decorations while demonstrating the brand’s skincare philosophy in an unflamboyant way.

The design is inspired by the idea of "technology and time". The designer combines the active peptide, the main ingredient of the products that can slow down skin aging, with the concept of time to create a irregular-shaped bottle with irregular curves. In addition, the designer chooses a simple typographic style over an elaborate combination of text and illustrations commonly seen on products of the same kind. This sleek design does not purposely entice customers but creates an association with the passage of time through the transition from angles to curved lines on the cap of the bottle, indicating the brand concept in an innovative and subtle way. The interior and exterior of the bottle are atomized to eliminate the monotonous linearity. The gold color scheme adds a dreamy air to the packaging, showing the product positioning as a skincare brand for women while bringing a soft and elegant visual experience to customers.
