Guantang Village

Guantang village is a Chengdu Rural Revitalization Demonstration Project and a successful attempt to revitalize Linpan in Western Sichuan (traditional rural residential form in Sichuan plain, China).

The project safeguards the original farmland, the Hetang dam, vegetation, and other natural resources. Green, low-carbon building materials are used. To achieve sustainable development, the design conforms to the terrain.

The project demonstrates the architectural styles of folk houses in Western Sichuan at various times through three areas(Intangible Heritage courtyard area,Resort Hotel area,Chengdu rural characteristic market area), Among them, six century-old houses have been restored in the Intangible Heritage courtyard area.

In Chengdu, it combines eight intangible cultural heritages with rural tourism to provide lodging, catering, sightseeing, art exhibitions, and other services. Currently, the living conditions and income of local villagers have significantly improved.
