Autumn River

Targeting a more mature demographic, the interiors were designed to be cozy and an homely escape. The leaves changing colour, and the crispness of the autumn air summons “cozy up” vibes. The colour palette stirs the sense of change and are layered in and sprinkled throughout in numerous ways. Naturally, we are referring to shades of earthy brown, burgundies and gold. The softness of suede on the sofa makes it a perfect background, patterned and fur pillows bring home the autumn feel.There’s nothing more quintessential than having a chesterfield to complete this look. Luxurious leather upholstery with its strong tufting details bring out the furniture’s refined elegance and masculine edge.

Adding “River” on this theme, completes the concept giving it a sense of place, as wuhan is infamous for her rivers and lakes. Adding seamlessly curvaceous lines to furniture not only softens any angular space, it infers strongly the water flowing theme. A hybrid table features prominently in this formal dining area. The wooden top has been chosen for its natural live edge and is integrated with coloured epoxy in the centre creating a flowing river effect. Other forms of river inspired design can be seen in the master bedroom bedhead where its leather is manipulated and hand carved with reliefs creating serene effects of light and shadows.

In the guestroom, the colour scheme have taken a more subdued and quiet autumn colour tone for the much needed rest. None the less, the coziness of the bedroom come with strong presence of custom digitally printed seagrass image. The children’s bedroom and activity room has a more lively and vivacious look. Its their domain to play, create , study and relax. Its only right to demand the biggest creative input when designing. Contouring with colour, the headboard wall features a custom digitally printed wallpaper adding vibrancy and fluidity to the room. Re-imagining a kids play room into a craft room is the new concept. Providing a balance of design and function, leaving only space for inspiration and their imagination to soar.
