Taipei 101 building, the landmark of Taiwan. The project is located on the 5th floor of the Taipei 101 building, where the tourists purchase tickets and wait for going up to the observatory on the 88th floor.

The plaza, welcoming and seeing off the tourists, is given a remarkable mission - to introduce Taiwan's culture and geography, enhance the impact of touring, and have memorable seeing experiences. In the 30 minutes before the tourists go, and the 30 minutes after they come down from the 88th-floor Observatory, while they are buying tickets, feeling the atmosphere, waiting in lines, and buying drinks and souvenirs, the design has to fulfill the mental needs of the tourists and the commercial profit of the space.

The design can be introduced with 5 main elements

1, Taiwan photography light plates
Various changing/steady light plates hanging from the ceiling are regarded as the topography and geography of Taiwan, linking the past, present, future, and people from everywhere in the world.

2, Taiwan mountain counter
Together with the TV wall at the back of the counter, the counter is made of Taiwan’s special green marble, providing the first to see the touching impact of Taiwan.

3, Circle LED wall
Embraced by the circle LED wall, moving light balls, hanging fiber lights, souvenir shop, and 101 Cafe, the plaza has become a multi-function space for waiting, photographing, expecting, and exciting

4, Taiwan ocean light plates
Along with the waiting line, the light plates run for linking Taiwan to the world and give momentum to the whole plaza.

5, Transparent imaging panels
While waiting in the light, it gives the tourists the image of impact, line dividing, and guides to the elevators.
