Jinhua College of Science and Technology

With an area of 810,602 square meters, the campus locates in the city of Jinhua, China. The design creates a distinct campus to integrate the nature and creativity into an interactive learning environment. Linked by a thoughtful traffic flow, the diverse and vivid activity places dotted between different school buildings for students and faculty to have a balanced campus life.

An ‘Iconic’ office tower marks the main entrance and acts as a focal point. The library consists of a series of suspend volumes contains reading and study spaces, like a stack of books which are ‘flying’ and illuminating the building. The canteen symbolizes interlocking "thought" clouds which contain spacious dining and rest places to rejuvenate students during breaks. The auditorium is blend into the landscape to form a "natural" podium. The main auditorium hall is elevated on this podium and surrounded by a 360° walking gallery which provides a broad and beautiful view to the campus. Each school building is a combination of classroom and laboratory spaces, where theoretical and practical teaching can be integrated. The indoor sports hall reflects levitating energies, including a swimming pool and an energetic gymnasium complex. The swimming pool is in a sunken plaza which introduce natural sunlight and green into the building, while the gymnasium complex is ‘levitating’ above.

The overall planning offers a comprehensive, harmonious and people-oriented campus.
