Jade Mansion Exhibition Center

This building is a 3065m2 exhibition center, which would be turned into as a venue for the group headquarters in the later stage. A scenic front court is created by borrowing the southernmost riverside commercial unit as well as the open space on the south. With the Gardening Technique of Suzhou Garden, through the encirclement, turning and guidance of modern space, architects create an atmosphere that the thin shadow is slanting, the water is light, the fragrance is floating, and the moon is at dusk.

The design concept is inspired by the water element of Taihu Lake, to create a series of spaces that evoke empathy with the natural environment. Thus, a building that floated above the water and had a sense of lightness and sculpture was pictured in mind. Through the extension of the site and space, the physical and visual connection between the building and the Taihu Lake can be formed. The craftsmanship aesthetics of modern architecture were expressed by virtue of the concise and potent combination of building volumes, as well as modern materials and exquisite design details, meanwhile, sufficient space is reserved for future functions as corporate headquarters.

The cantilevering and torsion of the blocks form different dislocation relationships on the structural system. In order to keep the integrity of the indoor and outdoor space, the structure was designed in depth to ensure the neatness of building facade, including the control of structural components, the lowering slab of the partial dislocation roof, and the unification of the indoor side beams. The integrated design method of the building reserves a complete boundary condition for the interior space and the curtain wall system.
