This project is an extension of the "2022 Taiwan Lantern Festival in Kaohsiung" event. "2022 Taiwan Lantern Festival in Kaohsiung" aims to illuminate local culture and create a new contemporary lantern festival. As the location of this project is in the reception area of the lantern event, the emphasis is on beautifying and "lighting up" the environment. The design is different from the ground-level placement. Considering that there are both daytime and nighttime events, this project focuses on the four sky arts. The design team used lighting to create different aesthetics between day and night. In addition to the sky art, there were art wall paintings and gardening plans on the street façade. These works are well preserved after the event. In conclusion, the project adopted the Chinese lantern as a medium, and the design team took the concepts of innovation and sustainability to bring a new look to the old streetscape that spans six neighborhoods.
