“Shop with an installation that connects families and city.”

This project aims to emphasize urban features in the interior space and create the shop that will allow visitors to acquire “impressions” and “memories” close to the indelible scene of one's childhood.

It is located in Kyomachibori, in the west of central Osaka, and is sandwiched between two different spaces, the green Utsubo Park in the south side, and the city street in the north side, which houses the storefront. Looking at the north and south sides from inside the store gives the impression that you are looking at parallel worlds.

The store is a gallery of school bags for 6 years' use by elementary school students.

Clients are families with children, preschool and school age.

Moving from the concept of a classic product showcase to the concept of giving visitors with “impressions” and “memories” creates a unique approach to the brand and the store interior. We hope this will be a popular school bag store for many years to come.

The space of the store is not intrusive divided by a configuration of the grid panels using vertical and diagonal lines. It was created on the basis of recalling the original scenery and childhood experiences such as "wide and narrow spaces", " the sequence by the layer of the grid panel", "space for children only" and "three-dimensional and maze-like lines “.

Various situations happen by chance in cities. As a child, we liked to find coincidences and connections, and we remember many situations. As adults, when we try to find a place to forget about everything and have fun, we worry about the opinions of others and restrain our feelings.

The family who comes inside will experience different emotions from the space and spend important and fun time in this store once in a lifetime, going inside and choosing a school bag.

This place is an installation where parents can remember their childhood experiences and at the same time create new memories with their children.
