Life Sukhumvit 62

This project is a condominium situated in the Sukhumvit area of Bangkok. Within the crowded city with skyrocketing land prices, space for greenery has become a luxury. Confined within a concrete jungle, the aspiring generation is not only yearning for nature but also excitement and adventure. The concept of "The Cosmopolitan Explorer" is inspired by this spirit of discovery and their desire to be close to nature.
The reception welcomes visitors with a high-ceiling hall covered on three sides with an intricate pattern made of interwoven stainless steel and leather, inspired by the display of sunlight through a tunnel of trees. At the end of the tunnel is a large tree framed with illuminated onyx stone, representing the main concept of the project.
In contrast with the reception lounge, the casual lounge is decorated in a more minimalistic style. The wall of the feature staircase is cladded in overlapping layers of black marble and stone texture, inspired by the rock formation of a waterfall.
Walking further inside, there is an open meeting area that surprises visitors with trees and sunlight. The 3-sided glass walls with a clear acrylic shelf and the 2 giant walls of greenery make it feel like being in a terrarium surrounded by nature.
The furthest inside is a 2-storey multifunction lounge with a large working table and a spacious lounge area. At the center of the lounge, a double-volume hole penetrating through the ceiling connects the lounge with another lounge upstairs. The Feature Shelf is punctuated with black forest marble build-in seating to create cave-like reading nooks for the residences.
In the Sky Lounge, the stargazing room, a large built-in black forest marble seat is located below a star-studded ceiling. The green wall and reed glass wall represent the water that falls through rock and plants into the river surrounding the feature stone seat. The sky swing area features two swinging chairs for the residence to sit on and enjoy the splendid view of the city.
