Shokai Longfor Residential Building

Located in Shenzhen, Guangdong, China, the project is surrounded by Wutong Mountain in the north and Yantian Port in the south, with beautiful mountain and sea landscape. The topography is low in the south and high in the north, and low in the east and high in the west, with the altitude differences of about 20m and 8m respectively.

We are bound to take advantage of the unique charm of mountains, retain their original forms as much as possible, minimize the earthwork adjustment, and convert the sloping land into terraces in the process of expanding the space and acquiring the resources.

From the perspective of the exterior architectural design, the adoption of three-dimensional design makes the balconies, terraces and front and back gardens strewn at random, greatly expanding the contacting space between people and nature.

The whole architectural form is broken up into parts, offsetting the sense of volume of the architecture and strengthening its interaction and integration with the city and Wutong Mountain. Meanwhile, there is a better landscape view for office when rotating to the east at a certain angle.

In the horizon, the green plants stretch and integrate with the architecture, and the architecture becomes a part of the mountain environment. The horizontal aerial platform serves as the best viewpoint. In the longitude, the plants are present in the whole architecture in the form of overhead gardens, aerial communication platforms, green viewing platforms and rooftop leisure garden, creating an aerial "three-dimensional garden". What is worth mentioning is that different from the conventional height of the open floor, such height is up to 6m in this project to reflect the nature more smoothly. We aim to pursue a simple facade style with the sense of line. Analogous to such natural elements as rocks and terraces, we also make the architectural blocks intersperse with each other to achieve the effect of distinct shapes.
