Apolong is the world's first L4-class driverless electric bus without steering wheel, accelerator and pedal. It is equipped with Baidu's latest Apollo system, as well as industry-leading Lidar, high dynamic range cameras, stereo cameras and other sensing devices. It can autonomously complete a series of automatic driving capabilities such as automatic parking, following cars, obstacle avoidance, U-turn, and stop.

Apolong has a higher safety level than manual driving, and adopts multi-sensor fusion perception technology, high-precision map and centimeter-level positioning technology, traffic light recognition technology, complex intersection recognition technology, tree-lined road travel technology, 5G driving technology, and vehicle-road coordination technology. These industry-leading technologies can not only achieve automatic driving in all road conditions, but also achieve a faster response speed than manual driving, which can respond quickly within 0.1 seconds, thereby effectively reducing traffic accidents.

The design of Apolong is inspired by the little yellow duck, it adopts curved body glass to present a minimalist design style, and makes the high-tech driverless bus more friendly. Interior seats are arranged in a circular pattern, and part of the seats can be folded and hidden, with flax interior, giving consideration to beauty and function, creating a warm and comfortable atmosphere.

Apolong has deployed dozens of advanced sensing devices such as lidar and stereo cameras. It adopts AI neural network and deep learning algorithms, as well as vehicle safety redundancy design. After hundreds of thousands of kilometers of autonomous driving verification, it has become the world's first mass-produced L4 level driverless electric bus. Multiple high-definition cameras on the Apolong body transmit road traffic video to the background in real time through 5G communication technology. When encountering complex road conditions or emergencies, the remote operator in the background can take over the vehicle in time.
