Sulfuric fire fishing is a centuries-old fishing culture passed down by fishermen in Jinshan, Taiwan, using the flame to attract light-seeking fish to jump out of the water. Though the technique is almost forgotten, thanks to the efforts of historians and fishermen, the classic impression of sulfuric fire fishing are still intact and has become a unique culture in Taiwan.

In an exhibition of light and shadow art, "Flames in the moonlight" combines the concept of fishing with fire and tide, using symbols to express the impression of fire. The bamboo weaving resembles a fire in the daytime and fish flying in the night. The moon representing the tide is a place for the audience to rest and enjoy the sea view.

The project is an art piece shaped by natural materials. The symbols express traditional culture and allow the audience to experience the charm of nature, the relationship between water and human, and the industrial glory of Jinshan.
