This design draws on the unique natural landscape pattern of Jiangxia in Wuhan city to construct a three-dimensional landscape of the central park. It builds five water patterns of “beach, island, field, pond and bay”, and creates a diverse experience space of mountains, forests, lakes and lawns. Combined with the surrounding and naturally integrated into a large-scale landscape leisure complex, which perfectly meets the needs of public outdoor activities.

The design integrates culture into the landscape to create an environment with a strong sense of belonging in a modern and simple way, and thus highlights the local characteristics to the greatest extent. Its butterfly lake excavates the connotation of butterfly in local culture, and reshapes the water shoreline with atmospheric and smooth lines to imitate a vivid butterfly. The broad and magnificent Chu and Han culture is also adopted with the simple and unsophisticated civil life in the central park to demonstrate the romance of Jiangxia, whose exquisite design and cultural connotation form a unique aesthetic style.

The design suits measures to the local conditions. With basic functions, it makes comprehensive consideration to safety and artistry, for the three functional sections of “ecological experience, sports and leisure, and cultural sharing” to create an urban spatial pattern with rich layers, complementary differences in the overall-orderly and diverse style. It thereby improves the comfort of regional environments for the livability of the city.

The design makes full use of modern technology to create a unique source of vitality and urban green lung in Jiangxia, with a high degree of unity in terms of science and fun. Its new smart management technology is simple and easy to operate, thus easy to maintain and saving costs. New endogenous treatment technology accelerates water environment treatment and ecological restoration, and helps restore ecological balance. The solar power supply system also provides clean energy, and reduce carbon footprint. It is fully in line with the concept of sustainable development based on the design of sponge city.
