Inspired by the product story of creating Tamarind to a snack and translated it into designing the feel good factor for customers. The challenge was to brand, design and launch a new healthy Tamarind snack brand where the market is already saturated with offerings of delicious healthy snacks and a variety of Tamarind food products. We were inspired by the product story while visiting the factory in a rural region of Thailand, this allows us to gain deeper knowledge of the product value proposition. Inspired by the traditional process and high nutritional value of Tamarind, we decided to tackle how we might rebrand a less popular snack into something that attracts a younger customer segment. Injecting a fresh look and feel good factor to an otherwise unpleasant looking snack was the main driver for this project. We brought its brand identity and story to life through branding, packaging and online experience.
