Elegant House

Home is where relationships bond and happiness reside. This project, located in downtown Taipei City, is a renovation of a 48-year-old apartment occupied by a young couple and a five-year-old daughter.

This project features a modern American-Country spatial style with a thoughtful treatment, a stroke of humble creativity by the female owner, of elevation with Morandi colors in door panels, kickboards, and wooden sofa backboards as the humanizing centerpiece of the interior. The dark-color oak floor and its vivacious pattern induced a naturalistic tone supplemented by the dark oak color of the tabletop and the wooden lining panels for spatial consistency. The entrance floor features an elegant mosaic pattern of tiles greeting the visitors with an enthralling Wow!

As the female owner is a music teacher, she plays piano and violin at home while conducting music lessons for her students. As the couple has a child of preschool age, a spacious activity space is needed, and consequently, the linkage of the entrance, living and dining rooms, and the music room allows the entire family to utilize the open-plan interior. The master bedroom is the amalgamation of a bedroom and a walk-in closet which provides sufficient space to house the performing attires of the female owner.

As people’s needs change with time, our constant and constructive communication with our clients has allowed our design team to think from our clients' viewpoints to elevate our design standard, our mantra to create the ideal living space for the inhabitants.
