One Pearl Bay Demonstration Area

One Pearl Bay, with a 270-degree island-tip sea view, enjoys the most amazing scenery, which positions itself as the high-end residential neighborhood in Guangzhou, one of the most developed cities in China.



From its geographical characteristics, "Sea Palace" was introduced to be the design concept and the spirit of the sea as the design source, which are in line with nature, art and humanities.



The fish group sculpture in the lobby, which starts from the spiral staircases and floats in the air, is a major feature of the project. Spotlights with adjustable angles installed on the ceiling precisely highlight the "fish group" sculpture, which depicts the beautiful scene of sunlight passing through the blue waves and shining on the fish.



By impressing the people with this outstanding lighting design at the first entrance, we aim to bring them a cozy and beautiful lighting ambience when they stay here.



Firstly，space is the essence of architecture, while light is the soul of space. Lighting design helps create a unique and interesting space. Different lighting designed are required in different scenarios. The best combination of luminaires of different models or same model but with different light distributions/color temperatures are adopted in the whole space.

For example, at the dinning table, narrow angle downlight luminaires are used as accent lighting to illuminate the dining table and the coffee table; the wall-washing lights illuminate the artworks and art fixtures on the wall. As for the swimming centre, different color temperatures are used to better match our needs.



Secondly, lighting was as much integrated into the internal structures as possible. For instance, to be aligned with the shapes of the ceiling, spotlights of small diameters are installed in the recess of the ceiling of the living room.



Lighting is not only the supplement of natural light, but also provides a cozy and enlightening lighting ambience by appropriately considering brightness & darkness, light & shadow together. These vivid changes are the source of the happiness when people stay in this space.
