Planning section

The city is full of tectonic order, and the Asahi Enterprise Building blends into the grid-like urban surrounding with its flowing and soft appearance. It forms a dialogue with the surrounding environment in contrast, gives a distinctive and recognizable dynamic, vitality and sentiment for the beautiful nature. The design team takes inspiration from Chinese landscape elements to make and the building shape smooth as white clouds and rolling hills. As night falls, it stands implicitly amidst the hustle and bustle of the city like the wind brushing the wheat.

Technical section

Wind is a phenomenon of air flow in nature, that we cannot observe it directly, but can only feel its existence through the things around us and our bodies. This special feeling brings us new creative inspiration, so we introduce light into this building erected in the city. The light and shadow of the building dances with the change of wind, bringing a natural sensory experience to the people stopping there, so that the flow of wind drives people's inner emotions.

The horizontal lines of the building become the best carrier of light to interpret a visual wind track through light. The horizontally extended light makes it easier to feel the wind blowing the building To avoid repetition and sensory tedium, and to make this horizontal flow of light closer to the natural wind form, wind sensors are added to help realize the connection between wind and light.

In the implementation, only the wind rate change is far from satisfying the presentation of various forms of wind. The urban buildings surrounded by podiums, naturally gain the uncertain wind direction. The addition of numerical information transformed by the wind direction obtains a multi-dimensional form of light and shadow, making the overall building jump out of the structural order, bringing more possibilities for the building and the city night sky. Life is colorful because it is not defined.
