Chinese culture emphasizes "yin and yang harmony" meaning balance, and this spirit is perfectly reflected in Chinese food culture. The restaurant, as a carrier of dishes, must embrace this spirit in order to provide the most perfect culinary experience for visiting diners. This project is to create a new dining space for an old local restaurant, echoing the owner's spirit of craftsmanship, and burning the classical misty rain of the south and the creative ingenuity of Taiwanese cuisine into a delicious feast.

Inspired by the style of Suzhou, China, the designer extracts the essence of Chinese aesthetics and uses it ingeniously in the space. The exterior of the building retains the structure of the original building, combined with Chinese architectural features, making visitors experience as if they are instantly in the misty and rainy Jiangnan thousands of miles away. The space is dominated by calm and deep tones, creating a quiet and stable atmosphere, and the large wooden furniture is more reminiscent of traditional craftsmanship with a long history. The dining area is set up with a number of large-scale murals depicting the beauty of tradition, through which the original appearance of the south is sealed. The curve of an empty vase on the wall shows the elegance and softness of the whisper of Wu dialect. The partition wall between the corridor and the corridor adopts the traditional Chinese wooden door, which not only shows the meticulous window grille carvings, but also can use the space flexibly according to the needs of the restaurant. The ceiling is integrated with the grille of Chinese-style wood construction method, which strengthens the integrity of the space. In addition, the designer also uses mirrored media to add visual magnification, giving the space a new traditional atmosphere that integrates ancient and modern.

Through design ingenuity, the designer echoes the owner's persistence and touch with the ingredients, and creates a dining experience that can be immersed for the diners through the design aesthetic space through the ancient and modern.
