De Farm

De Farm is an ongoing land development project, situated in land area of 91,200 sq. meters. The project is designed under a variety of functional frameworks, which becomes the main objective of creating an organic farming society that is consisted of paddy rice fields, vegetation plots, a horse barn, nursery houses for ducks, goats and buffalos, and residential areas.



The design concept begins with the owners’ lifestyle, dreams of operating organic farms and relationship within the family. The project’s functional areas are modified via the owner’s motto, “honestly superficial”, making the uniqueness and create the new balance with nowadays modern society.



The planning process starts from matching functional programs with the site and its surroundings. The overall area can be separated into different functional areas. The main systematic design of the project is the water management. The check dam system is adapted into the site, pulling a large amount of water from Nong Han and irrigation canal, collecting water for both consuming and irrigation in the site. The planting concept is based of existing trees, most of which are the native species to the area, only few additional trees are planted in order to create the visual impact, enclosing recreation space, and as source for alternative energy.
