The Endless Flow of Stream

All design is based on human needs, and architecture embodies the imagination of life and the exterior response to the environment. People, architecture, and nature are inseparable from design. This residential planning project is located in the Xinyi District in Taipei, Taiwan. Since this property is relatively rare in the area, it stands as an iconic and symbolic city building. The architects resourcefully extracted the characteristics of the local environment into the exterior of the building so that people and nature can interact, build a mutual relationship, and provide the occupants with a sense of satisfaction and happiness.

For the exterior of the building, the designer has planned it in a white frame with wood grain material, disclosing an elegant style of internal recreation. Besides, the simple and clean frame design forms a framed view, which welcomes the natural scenery to be beautifully presented. Mesmerizingly, the thickly laid stone tile wall combined with light glass produces a visual transformation of reality and illusion. On the first floor, large windows are set up to draw the viewer into the room, making the interior space look spacious and bright. Also, the designer has created a vast and boundless vision. By doing so, the tension between the interior and the exterior is effortlessly washed away.

The architects have strongly emphasized the uniqueness and irreplaceability of each design project. Also, they value communication with the clients as much as the living space design. Therefore, many elements borrowed from the local culture and community have become one of the highlights of the design project. Accordingly, it allows architecture and nature to merge and relate. Besides, the use of glass railings and white frames symbolizes the tributaries of the local rivers, and the brown beveled edges on the outer floors delineate them, echoing the core location of the area and embodying the warm and loving image of home.
