The Canton Place

The project is located in the high-end living circle in Guangzhou. Built in 2009, the design style is outdated now. GLC is charge of upgrading the building façade and part of the interior of the project this year. The original European luxury façade is no longer in line with the modern aesthetic. GLC weakened the original style in the transformation, and adopted a young, post-modern design language in line with the trend and its own landscape characteristics. A large number of curves are used to replace the original rigid and dull linear design, which adds a lot of dynamic spirit to the whole space and gives the space variability. GLC keeps the features of the original open green garden, and the DNA color of the developer -- champagne gold and combines with elegant white, interpreting the light luxury and delicate beauty. Due to the limited natural lighting, the indoor passage is dull. Therefore, GLC minimizes the color of champagne gold, and used a large number of white stones to express the natural ecology and fashion of the space. The color gold is used to outline and convey the brand attributes. The Canton Place has a circular layout with four entrances. Before the renovation, the recognition of the entrance was low, and consumers were easily lost. After the renovation, a special arc shape is adopted for the north and south entrances , which emphasizes the difference with other two entrances. GLC has upgraded the overall signage system, emphasizing the overall feeling of several entrances to help consumers identify the direction. The transformation has successfully strengthened the community and park-like attributes of this commercial complex, and further meets the needs of modern consumers for a more refined and comfortable shopping environment and diversified shopping experience.
