The Pursuit of Serenity

Great design is a multi-layered relationship between human life and its environment, and individuals’ lives change because of these delicate design innovations. According to the different purposes and spatial traits, the designer has created different spatial appearances, offering the residents a unique living experience. This is an interior design project of a residence, and the designer had set warm colors as the primary color scheme to offer the living space a relaxing look. Besides using distinct wood textures and colors, the designer has added multiple visual layers to the space.

Entering the residence, one will immediately notice that the beige tiles are planned at the entryway and the mudroom area. In addition, the designer has utilized white and the color of wood as the main color scheme, supplemented it with smooth curved elements to wash away the coldness of the straight lines and angles inherited from the original layout. Furthermore, the warm texture of the wood veneer beautifully embodies the homeowner's lovely and kind heart, while the white stone-lined TV wall and American wood louvers bring out the calm and stable ambiance of the exterior. Through the designer's exquisite configuration, the corner of the living room is placed with a zigzag sofa, presenting the shape of an L-shaped chaise longue sofa, allowing even a limited space to have a special spatial highlight. In the primary suite, the color of the wood and other bright colors are set as the main color scheme to create an enjoyable personal living space. In another bedroom with cool gray tones, the light and shadows are piled up to produce a unique sense of tranquility. Through the restrained texture of the space, the male homeowner’s stable and decent character is so eloquently delivered by the design details.

Through the designer's resourceful planning and delicate execution, a kitchen island and a resting area are set up in the main living space to provide the dwellers with a spot to bond and interact. In addition, various living styles are beautifully conveyed by planning different spatial presentations in the matching areas.
