The best design may not be the immediate comprehension, but the lifetime lesson to attest.



The house located alongside the coastline of the northeast coast has the great view to the gorgeous sea in the front and to the verdant mountains at the rear. For the house surrounded by the magnificent natural landscapes, the designer comprehensively decorated the house with large windows. As the sunlight scattering on the staircase decorated with glass, which was inspired from the design idea of glass house, the indoor space presents various scenes of lights changing over time. The house extensively decorated with windows has the great views to surrounding natural environment wherever in the house, the design concept signifying the coexistence with nature.



The original conditions of building were worrisome. Adjacent to coastline, the 40-year-old building was shabby, and it had many leaks. The indoor space lacked of daylight due to the old layout t, and the staircase layout was restricted. On top of solving the problems of humidity and water leaks, the designer concerned more about the issues of rust, salt damage to building, etc., which prompted the designer to use the specific imported waterproofing materials for the walls constructions. The issues of intense winds from sea must be reckoned with as well, which inspired the designer to uses the windows and roof awning that are not only solve the impact from the sea environment, also gorgeous. Additionally, the new layout taking into considerations the building structures decorates the house with more windows. The new fishbone staircase, as the daylight scattering through the roof windows, are brightening and enlivening, which show the perfection bringing nature into the house.



The house is essentially painted with pure color white. The fair-faced concrete walls decorated along the fishbone stairs, when the daylight shining through the ceiling windows, have been transformed into a space clearing your mind. The furniture mostly in grey and earth colors shows the simple attitude staying calm with nature.
