With minimal intrusion, we respect the location and focus on exploring the local essence and preserving the local way of life. We resume the dusty memory of the wharf by using restrained design principles while keeping the old trees, the old site, and the old objects of the wharf. In addition, we develop the riverfront green space into an open recreational waterfront park in the neighborhood under the direction of fulfilling the site function and enhancing the vibrancy of the area. Taking this as a breakthrough to unblock the original waterfront environment, we could fulfill all ecological and flood control requirements, and reserve through the entire park’s flood control channel and associated facilities. It connects the dynamic bridge between the back channel of the Pearl River and Haizhu Innovation Bay with three different road designs for walking, running, and riding, reopening the romantic river bank to the general public without any reservations.

The design team is in conversation with the dock’s mark, the wonder of the natural world, and the sentimental contemplation of everything leaving and remaining on the Pearl River shore. The original site's seven historic banyan trees, as well as the loading and unloading platform, are preserved through modern design to create a fresh experience that serves as a backdrop for admiring the beautiful cityscape and documenting daily life among the locals.

Similar-natured hardwood platform with undulating folding lines is organically incorporated beneath the lavish shelter of a banyan tree, creating an integrated design for leaning, lying, and sitting.

Three of the original trees—conyonea, tallow, and neem—are still present in the square, and curved benches and benches create a space beneath the forest to accommodate public communication activities. Every item in this place contains remnants of its former form, protecting the history of the people who once lived here. The Pearl River-echoing dynamic water curtain and the dynamic pavement that separates the space continuously deepen the time scale in the story of the past and present, allowing the most intense emotions capture the most genuine moment that helps people’s perceptions to become more full.
