Nanjing Lantern Festival panorama art installation

The work is located in Nanjing, China, 2022. It is a large-scale digital dynamic art installation by the side of a famous river of Nanjing—Qin Huai River. Drawing on the scenery of ancient Chinese painting"Shangyuan Lantern Festival” as the background and the prosperous scenery as the core, it shows the rich folk elements of Nanjing. Combined with multi-layer bas-relief light and shadow effects, it echoes the characteristics of Chinese lanterns. At the same time, the aesthetic effect during the day is considered comprehensively, forming an exquisite landscape installation that looks good both day and night.
Along the route of the cruise ship on QinHuai river, from right to left, there are four sets of themed installations:“Koi Fish Leaping over the Dragon Gate”,“ Inscription on the Gold List”, “Tied the Knot” and “Wedding Night”, combined with Nanjing folk customs elements extracted from the “Shangyuan Lantern Festival” ,shows a panorama of the beauty story of Nanjing.
