Residence 42 by Rita Chraibi

My vision was to demonstrate that through the collection "Objets Nomades" it was obvious that the artistic side was more than present because of the strong personality that each object of this collection reveals, as Louis Vuitton wished, but that however, through my interior design I really wanted to humanize this collection and to make it a living space and to show that beyond the artistic aspect there was this accessibility to make these "objects" a very elegant and cozy space - again and as I always compare design to fashion design, you often see fashion shows that are so creative that the models become unique and almost inaccessible! This is exactly the case with this collection, it is indeed so sublime and unparalleled as much by its superior craftsmanship as by the name it bears "Objets Nomades" that one could only imagine it as outstanding and distinct pieces.



This opportunity to design an interior such as Residence 42 is a project that a designer can rarely live in his career because it is the first time that Louis Vuitton decides to exhibit its collection in a new real estate project; Indeed, it is a question of putting in scenography a collection of extraordinary objects in Steinway tower which is a masterpiece of architecture by SHoP Architects achieved by the immaculate restoration of Steinway Hall one of New York’s City’s most iconic landmarks with a grand 1,428 foot tower.
