KOULI English Language School

KOULI English Language School is a cram school in Taiwan. The cram school space is connected by three buildings, connecting the three spaces with a corridor adjacent to the French window. However, the original site has a height difference and the three spaces are about 20cm apart from each other. How to create a safe and comfortable walking corridor is a challenge, and it must comply with the building law and cram school regulation. Due to the retreating outdoor garden space, the designer takes advantage of the French window to extend the visual space from the inside out. The theme of corridor design is the sports playground, so that the children can enjoy the break time happily.

In order to echo the outdoor flowers and green trees, the corridor is designed with the concept of playground. The French windows are adjacent to the corridor, giving an open visual sense, so that the long corridor will not look narrow.



The floor lines give the impression of playground, just like in school, when the children hear the bell ring, they can't wait to rush to the playground to play.



In addition, the wall is also covered with green turf, which is combined with the game plate of circle and cross, while the ceiling is covered with blue paint to give the illusion of blue sky, which is visually designed to integrate with the outdoor scenery.



In the reception counter area, the lumen lights and indirect light frames are used to shape this block. The lights on the front ceiling are simple and childlike. The lights above are designed with American style LOGO, and the ball lights hanging beside them remind people of the moon. The yellow light is used to create atmosphere in this area.
