Pingtung Christmas Festival

The Pingtung Christmas Festival has been held since 2017 and has a different theme every year. In 2022, the design team brings "snow" to the venue, with lanterns and landscaping to create a romantic snow land. Almost all Christmas events in Taiwan have Christmas trees as the main lantern. One of the two main lanterns in Pingtung Park is a classic Christmas tree and the other is a snow monster. The design team subverts the aggressive image of the snow monster and creates a furry and cute look as if it was guarding Pingtung. In addition, different from the conventional LED light that is wrapped around a flat surface, the design team takes a three-dimensional concept to create the "Snow Land". They use three-dimensional ironwork to shape the long-lasting iceberg. The vivid scenery makes people feel like they are in the scene of "Frozen".
