Tranquility and profound gray

The site is a new empty apartment. The client owns many properties in Taiwan and has many experiences in renovation and a clear preference for style. The entire space is decorated in a cool tone to show a sense of stability and calmness. Both the gradation of Tadao Ando gray marble and the rough texture of the perforated architectural concrete, the elegance of gray is presented to the fullest. The TV wall is a carved white marble selected by the designer and the client together in Bali. In the gray space, the white and bright TV wall is the highlight of the public area. The TV wall is beautified and computer calibrated to make the whole stone look uncut and enhance the fineness of the material. The display shelf on the left is made of titanium-plated iron and wood veneer, with LED light strips to create a delicate small display area. The indoor intercom is also concealed inside the display cabinet. For privacy, the design team installed a hidden sliding door between the study room and the second bedroom, which can isolate the sound, sight, and air conditioning, without weakening the sense of space. The study is partitioned by glass, and the floor-to-ceiling glass on three sides gives the public area a better sense of transparency, making the residence calm but not closed.
