The original building stands on a vast and barren land. Through consideration and design, the design team managed the programs to the maximum extent. Newer, better and cozier space utilization are added into the structure, constructing a dream home for the client’s family.

The project is not only a living space but also an area for the client to hold gatherings; hence, public spaces are designed for users to share and communicate. The entire style is inspired by the client’s lifestyle and preference for marble. The core inspiration, “a home with luxury and peace”, is thus an extension of an elegant gentry’s style from the client.

This case is a three-story detached house with an elevator. The main building covers an area of 198 square meters. The interior layout includes a living room, a dining room, a kitchen, 6 bedrooms, 8 bathrooms and a separate area for Buddha-worshipping. The exterior one includes a 430-square-meter landscape area and a garage built with steel structure and glasses.

Part of the first floor was a garage. Yet it confined the client’s living space, which cannot satisfy the client's expectation. As a result, the design team tore down the walls of the garage, making it a living room; the main gate was relocated, and the foyer was formed with existing columns. Besides, ranch sliders are installed to access to more daylight and to get wider views, which lead to more ideal life quality for dwellers.

This is a case including interior design, landscaping and driveway layout; thus, it was a must that we underwent a thorough evaluation of the client’s practical needs and preferences. We started with leveling land and renovating. As for the biggest challenge, it must be a limited construction time. We were asked to finish constructing within 7 months, which allowed the family to move in, and to achieve the goal of presenting the client’s demand for delicate quality.
