Broad Mansion

Located in Nanjing and covering a total area of 4,500 m2, Broad Mansion continues the memories of this ancient city and provide a ideal home which allows people to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. With the idea of “New Oriental Classicism”, the designer explored the culture and history of Nanjing, reinterpreting the space structure of traditional Chinese gardens. Geometric spaces alternate skillfully, creating a series of flowing and flexible spaces, and form a new memory about the place based on old memories.
The design pays special attention to the shaping of artistic atmosphere. Through lighting design, installation of artworks and multidisciplinary team efforts, it creates a series of flowing spaces and maximizes the value of them, which will effectively improve the users’ quality of life and develop their taste for art.
Broad Mansion is a successful practice in creating artistic landscape in modern cities. Here landscape serves as the connection between art, nature and life, which helps to create imaginative spaces and build an ideal home.
