Hazy Glamour

Through the transparent window, the copper gloss reflecting the sunshine is letting in the airy space. The solid metal texture, gentle neutral colors, and wood patterns associated with the curves form an ambiance of coherence; it phrases a metaphor for sense and sensibilities. In the warm and tactile home, the four family members have a tight bond with each other.



As the homeowner couple required storage functions and the minimalist style, we built a cabinet in a massive block of color. And then, the titanium-plated elements, iron materials, and the curvy approach embellish the entire space as a functional and modern ambiance. As the two children's needs are the essence of the plan, the dining area is shaped into an exclusive zone for parent-children reading. Optimally selecting eco-friendly construction materials, we built a sustainable and cozy home.



We adopted low-key color schemes for the entire space. The unusual faux-aged wall coating consists of different areas; the Wabi-Sabi touch assorting the modern style presents its imperfection and cleanliness of the accent elements as stone, hardware, and strip lights. The TV unit wall contained the copper titanium-plated slab extending to the ceiling; its mirror-like feature trimmed the beam and made the expanding visual effect. Besides, the layering patterns of ceiling linear air diffusers help lighten the heaviness of the crossbeam and show a bright and clear vibe.



The layout plan of this project is centered on the two young children’s requirements. We planned two secondary bedrooms of the former floor plan and made good use of the odd nook to set up a built-in closet containing plenty of storage. The design of the kids' rooms provides sufficient functions and growth adaptiveness. As the "parent-child reading" is crucial, we set the dining area as a hub of the public area. Through an unimpeded space with a long table and bench, the family members can share their lives and enhance the parent-children relationship.
